Flash's Theme occupies position 1 in the identified Flash Gordon programme. It opens this programme. The next work is In The Space Capsule (The Love Theme). Read that placement alongside the album perspective: Flash Gordon is part of Queen's studio catalogue and a soundtrack, so its many short cues need a different reading from a conventional collection of songs.
