Innuendo

Editorial perspective

The album's UK release came in February 1991. The official chronology places Freddie Mercury's death in November that year; those dates must remain distinct. Our editorial reading avoids turning every song into a prediction of what followed. Instead, follow the opening Innuendo through the intervening tracks to The Show Must Go On, and compare the sources behind public credits and individual writing accounts. The work itself, its recording and the later retrospective are separate layers of context.
